LEEWAY WAS FOUNDED BY KRISTEN DUNCAN WILLIAMS
Kristen is a 15+ year media veteran and storyteller at heart. She has vast experience targeting kid, teen, and family audiences working with such networks/clients as Nickelodeon, Amazon, NBC, Bravo, AMC, Lifetime, Discovery, Oxygen. WEtv, and Scholastic.
Most recently Kristen is the Founder of Leeway. Clients hire Leeway to write and produce written & digital content aimed to educate, inspire, and engage with audiences in the STEM space. Leeway works with the top media researchers, educational consultants, psychologists, and educators on integrating formative research into the production process. Leeway uses data and analytics to steer creative strategies and campaigns so they are current and reflect target audiences. Leeway is a team of experts in generating digital content that encourages and supports children’s growth and development via STEM initiatives.
Leeway was tasked with researching and writing 126 DIY episodes for a STEM themed YouTube show aimed at girls 6-11 for their client Goldieblox. The show has reached close to 700K subscribers.

OUR TEAM
Katie Nave Freeman is currently a freelance Creative Director/ Writer/ Producer for Leeway living in Brooklyn, New York. She has more than ten years of experience in producing compelling and meaningful content across print and digital media platforms for clients including Amazon, EMILY’s List, Girls Inc., GoldieBlox, Of a Kind, Rights4Girls, The Harnisch Foundation, and Women's March. Driven by her passion for storytelling and activism, Katie aims to elevate women who are boldly working to better the world around them.
Seema Aghera is currently a freelancer serving as the Head of Business Development and Client Relations for Leeway. With a degree in Biomedical Engineering from Boston University, Seema has been an integral part of the STEM based projects, development and science-based initiatives at Leeway. Prior to teaming up with Leeway, Seema worked as a management consultant at Accenture, a global management consulting and professional services firm that provides strategy, consulting, digital, technology, and operations services working with numerous pharmaceutical companies. Currently, Seema is the Co-Founder of the Brooklyn Book Bodega which creates a vibrant and welcoming community for kids to engage with each other over a shared passion for reading while building their personal libraries. Seema resides in Brooklyn with her husband and three daughters.
Virginia Hamilton Furnari is currently a freelance Creative Director/ Writer/ Producer for Leeway. Virginia writes and produces promotional, editorial, marketing material, and digital content cross-platform for several clients such as Nickelodeon, Spike TV, Viacom, Healthline and more. Virginia directed and produced a podcast for NBCUniversal's The Voice, Season 11, along with producing weekly on-air promotions and online reels for the season. Virginia lives in Stamford, Connecticut with her husband, Joe and dog, Derby.
Jessica Hsiao is currently a freelance Project Manager. She comes to Leeway with the prestigious HR designation of Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) and a Bachelor in Business Administration from Baruch College. Her professional portfolio includes works with nonprofit and corporate entities to include Target, UNICEF, and various Settlement Houses in the New York City area. Jessica is passionate about making a difference and the power of education to make the world a better place.
